On the highest point of Sunset Boulevard, Mondrian is adjacent to
the House of Blues, a mile from Beverly Center, and approximately 12
miles from Los Angeles International Airport. The hotel is two miles
from the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Rodeo Drive, four miles from
Universal Studios, eight miles from Lakers basketball, and 12 miles
from Santa Monica. Hotel amenities include the health spa, with
steam room, sauna, and 24-hour fitness center, and outdoor splash
pool with underwater classical music and sweeping city views. This
Philippe Starck-designed hotel resembles a beach house with its
diaphanous curtains, glowing glass walls, and indoor/outdoor lobby.
International restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow brings his nouveau
Asian-Latino cuisine to Asia de Cuba at Mondrian. Seabar, a more
casual option, serves sushi, sake, and specialty drinks nightly at a
35-foot long, illuminated alabaster table. Guests can also meet at
the Skybar, an open-air, ivy-covered pavilion above the pool and
outdoor living room. All rooms feature Egyptian-cotton linens,
marble baths, bathrobes, fresh orchids, marble desks, mystery novels
and vintage magazines, DVD/CD players, minibars, complimentary daily
newspapers, wireless Internet access, work desks, safes, and
equipped kitchens. |
